SERVICES.

OPTIONAL:

15-Minute Intro Call

This introductory call is optional and not required to begin training. If you’re ready to move forward, you may book the Training Evaluation directly.

The intro call is a brief, 15-minute phone call offering a high-level overview of my training approach, services, and process. It is a general Q&A only.

This is not a training session, evaluation, or behavioral analysis, and we will not be discussing your dog in depth.

If you’ve reviewed the services page and feel ready to begin, the Training Evaluation is the most direct and effective place to start.

Looking for guidance specific to your dog? Please start with the Training Evaluation.

PHASE TWO:

Training Track

Based on the information provided during the evaluation process, I’ll recommend the right path for you and your dog.

Option A: Board and Train

3+ weeks of structured, immersive training

Your dog lives in my home where we work to build foundation skills, confidence, and real-world reliability. You’ll receive regular updates and transfer lessons so everything is crystal clear when your dog comes home.

Unlike traditional board and train programs, support doesn’t end when your dog goes home. This program is designed as a long-term partnership, with lifetime support available for the life of your dog.

Cost: $1,100/week

Option B: Private Coaching

Focused coaching for you and your dog

One-on-one sessions tailored to your specific goals. Best for troubleshooting, refining skills, or getting targeted support. Private Coaching is limited and designed for clients who prefer highly individualized guidance.

Cost: $130-$145/lesson

Option C: Foundations Program

Focused coaching for you and your dog

This program will give you a well-started dog. A steady, lifestyle-focused approach designed for puppies and non-behavioral dogs who need clear guidance, fulfillment, and strong foundational skills.

PHASE THREE:

Community & Maintenance

Ongoing support for long-term success

Phase 3 keeps you connected, supported, and progressing. You’ll access client-only classes, group training, Happy Hours, Stays by night, day trains or stays, and continued coaching as needed. This is your dog’s long-term ecosystem: structured practice, continued learning, and a community built to help you maintain everything you’ve worked for.

Perfect for: Dogs who are trained and stable but still benefit from structured practice and professional guidance.

Cost: varies based on the dog

Quick Answers

  • Can I book a lesson without the Onboarding Package? No. The Onboarding Package is required before starting any training program so that I can thoroughly assess, understand, and build rapport with you and your dog (except public pack walks).

  • Do you offer refunds? No. All bookings are final. Reserving a spot takes up space in my schedule that another client could have used.

  • How long does a board & train last? Most run 2–4 weeks. Exact length depends on your goals and your dog’s progress.

  • Do you board dogs who aren’t in training? No. Boarding is exclusively for training clients.

“Kourtni is incredibly knowledgeable and has an obvious passion for what she does. She has done great with my dog Archie so far, who I originally brought to her because of his separation anxiety. Not only has she helped address that, but she has also come up with ideas on how we can make him a happier, more well-rounded dog in general. I really appreciate this after having a new baby and feeling like my original baby (Archie) got put on the back burner. It is nice to have someone that understands how much I love my dog and who cares about making him the best and happiest he can be! I especially appreciate how Kourtni gives us a ton of tangible tools to keep up with his training at home between lessons, because of this I feel empowered as Archie's owner and have a lot of hope for a less stressful future for him and me. We can't wait to continue working with Kourtni and absolutely recommend her to all dog owners!”

I am so happy with my private lessons so far, Kourtni makes things easier with video chat training sessions as an option for people who live out of town. I really like her approach to training and I’ve already seen a lot of improvement with my puppy! He’s stopped biting & is making great recall progress. Thanks Actualized Canine!!! Highly recommend.

I wanted to make an update to my review:

I went to Grand Junction for a 3 day intensive private course about two months ago, and WOW am I happy I went! She made me a personal training plan tailored to my schedule and dogs. My puppy was struggling with reactivity because he was copying his older brother. Kourtni helped us bring it back to the basics, explaining why basic commands are so important, because if they can nail those basic commands (like sit, come, etc,), they can eventually do it with distractions, like around other dogs. We went over a variety of training tactics, did different scenarios, and figured out what motivates them. Really cool to learn about dog behavior! She also filmed the entire sessions for me so I could go back and reference them. They have improved tremendously and are having a great time re-socializing with friendly dogs. I am so proud of them. Thanks Kourtni!
